RS Components garners distribution award with ramp up of TDK-Lambda power portfolio

RS wins 2019 ‘High Service Level Distributor’ from leading maker of AC-DC and DC-DC power units

London, UK, 18 July 2019:

RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM), a global multi-channel provider of industrial and electronic products and solutions, today announced it has received the 2019 award for ‘High Service Level Distributor of the Year’ from TDK-Lambda, which is part of the TDK group of companies and is Britain's largest designer and manufacturer of both standard and configurable AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies.

RS has taken the opportunity to strengthen its power portfolio over the past year by significantly expanding its range of TDK-Lambda power supplies. As a result, RS now offers a selection of more than 1000 TDK-Lambda units direct from stock, including highly popular embedded switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) and isolated DC-DC converters. Some of the more recent TDK-Lambda product introductions made by RS include:

• The QS series of single-output AC-DC units, which are certified to medical and industrial safety standards.
• The CUS150M series of AC-DC units, which are capable of operating in ambient temperatures of up to 80°C without the need for forced-air cooling.
• The CUS1500M series of 1500W high-power AC-DC units, which target use in medical and scientific equipment that requires low audible noise for both patient and operator comfort.
