Corporate Responsibility
- Electrocomponents is a member of the FTSE4Good index and participates in the Carbon Disclosure Project. Our UK business has achieved Carbon Trust Standard recertification and accreditation to the Certified Emissions Management and Reduction Scheme (CEMARS) and the Greenhouse Gas Data Verification standard, ISO14064-1.
- The number of lost time accidents across the business was reduced by 30% in 2014, a reduction of 65% over the last three years
- The number of days lost due to accidents was reduced by 60% in 2014
- Environmental performance improved in FY14 with reductions of 5.8% in CO2 intensity, 9.2% in waste intensity, 11.8% in packaging per line ordered and 12.7% in water use per head
- Our UK business has patron status of the children’s charity, the NSPCC
- 85% response rate to the 2014 My Voice survey, with a 3% increase in employee engagement levels
