Circular Connectors have a water and dustproof IP rating when mated with the correct corresponding IP rated connector. When not connected the IP rating will cease, some series offer a sealing cap/dust cap that will give you the option to seal or protect the open-end connection. Some connector series may provide an IP rated solution in both mated and unmated conditions, please always refer to the manufacturer's datasheet to confirm.

These waterproof electrical connectors come in different mounting types such as cable mount and Inline connectors.
