    Terminal Block / Choc Block

    The term “Terminal block” or "choc block" is what we would use in the UK. But they can also be referred to as American wire nuts which are less commonly used in the UK. These electrical connectors are frequently used to connect or join multiple electrical wires together. Terminal blocks in the UK typically consist of a plastic housing with metal connectors inside, that secure the wires when tightened. WAGO offer a range of terminal block connectors that have either tool-free lever operated parts with cage clamp technology alongside PUSH WIRE cage clamp types.

    The WAGO 221 COMPACT splice connector is ideal for applications where space is limited. Allowing electricians, a way to connect wires faster with no need for any tools due to their innovative cage clamp connection. The reusable terminal blocks may also be known as lever connectors or lever nuts. The WAGO connector 221 accommodates 4 mm2 (24-12 AWG) wire size, rated at 32A. Alongside the 6 mm2 (20-10 AWG) 41A WAGO wire connectors. Both WAGO 221, 4 mm2, and 6 mm2 support solid, stranded, and fine-stranded wires. They are supplied in a transparent housing, available in 2-way, 3-way, or 5-way terminal blocks. The COMPACT Lever connector can be found in many applications including commercial, residential, and industrial electrical installations.

    The WAGO 222 CLASSIC splicing connector is a compact WAGO connector for all wire conductor types. From fine stranded up to 4 mm2 (28-12 AWG), as well as solid or stranded conductors up to 2.5 mm2 (12 AWG). The WAGO 222 is a lever-operated connector with cage clamp technology with orange actuator Levers in a grey housing so there is no need for tools. The WAGO connector can also be secured in place with mounting carriers 222-500 and strain relief plate 222-505.     WAGO 2273 are COMPACT splicing connectors. The PUSH WIRE connection terminates solid conductors suitable for circuit connections and distribution panels wiring applications. WAGO 2273 series compact design for your electrical installations offers push-in termination of up to eight solid conductors all in one connector. The conductor size cross-section range is from 0.5-2.5 mm2 (20-16 AWG). The WAGO connector is supplied in a transparent housing for visual inspection along with any of the following colours, white, orange, red, yellow, and grey. This allows you to check if the conductors have been stripped properly. WAGO electrical connectors have a test port that is suitable for all standard test probes.

    WAGO 773 PUSH WIRE connectors for solid and stranded conductors are suitable for Junction Box applications. This WAGO connector range has a cross-section wire range of 2.5 mm2 for the 24A or the 6 mm2 with a 41A current rating. The 773 WAGO series push wire technology connections are quick and easy to use making it an efficient installation process. The reusable connector typically has a lever that opens a spring clamp inside the connector establishing a reliable and secure electrical connection.     The 862 Series chassis mount terminal strip connects up to four conductors ranging from 0.5 to 4 mm2 (20–12 AWG).     Both WAGO 260 / 261 2-conductor strip terminals come with mounting flanges suitable for screw mount. Additionally, they can be easily adapted for DIN rail 35 mounting using the optional mounting foot WAGO 209-123.

    WAGO 261 Terminal Strips offer the versatility of both Push-in CAGE CLAMP and lever-actuated connections. See 261-106/341-000 and 261-112/341-000 strip connectors, which come equipped with pushbuttons on both sides. These are available in 6 and 12-pole.

    WAGO 261

    WAGO 260 and 261 Modular Series

    WAGO's 260 and 261 modular terminal blocks meet a wide range of industrial and commercial wiring requirements.

    The WAGO 260 (1.5 mm²) is rated at 18 A and has a compact design with the convenience of Push-in CAGE CLAMP technology. Enabling swift and secure wire connections without the need for any additional tools.

    WAGO 261 (2.5 mm²) modular terminal block has a higher current rating of 24A with Push-in CAGE CLAMP connectivity.

    Mounting options for both include DIN rail and panel mounting. For DIN 35 rail installations, use the WAGO 209-123 mounting foot accessory

    WAGO 285

    WAGO 285 High Current Terminal Block

    WAGO 285 high current, POWER CAGE CLAMP terminal blocks for DIN rail mounting (DIN 35 x 15 rail only).  Offers suitable clamping force for conductors up to 35 and 95 mm2. WAGO's high-current, connector blocks are great in energy-intensive applications. These terminal blocks are also approved for Ex e applications and the WAGO 285 terminal block is resistant to hot and cold. They are vibration-proof, with a maintenance-free spring pressure connection technology that makes them ideal for railway and marine applications.

    Note: Earth Terminal Blocks WAGO 285-197 and 285-137 are only suitable for copper 2.3 mm thick DIN 35 x 15 rail.

    WAGO 264 miniature through terminal blocks for 15 mm and 35 mm DIN Rail. This connector has a Cage Clamp connection with a nominal voltage of 800V and a 24A current rating.
