The B&R Industrial Automation GmbH digital input module is equipped with safe digital input channels designed for safety-related applications up to PL e or SIL 3. It offers flexible use for reading digital signals, featuring individually configurable filters for both switch-on and switch-off behaviours. Switch-on filters help suppress signal disturbances, while switch-off filters bridge testing gaps in external signal sources such as OSSD signals, preventing unintended interruptions. Additionally, the module monitors input signal pairs (e.g., channels 1 and 2, 3 and 4) for simultaneity, with configurable maximum allowable discrepancies between paired inputs.
