The B&R Industrial Automation GmbH Bus Modules serve as the foundation for all SafeIO modules. Depending on the type, the internal I/O power supply is either connected through or interrupted to the left. The bus modules are equipped with node number switches, allowing fixed address assignment. When placed at the beginning of an X20 block, they generate a unique starting address, with subsequent modules automatically assigned incrementing addresses. This feature enhances application flexibility and simplifies system configuration.

Alpha Wire Xtra Guard 1 - braided and foil shielded is a high performance industrial cable. The foil shield provides moderate EMI protection, especially at lower frequencies. A tinned copper drain wire makes grounding the cable easy.
