Fluke Energy Monitor & Logger, ±(0.2%+0.01%) Accuracy, 500V Maximum Measurement - FLUKE-1738/B

This energy monitor & logger records and analyses three‑phase electrical parameters to support power quality and energy studies in industrial environments. It captures voltage, current, power and harmonics while allowing local review on a colour touch display or remote access via WiFi and Bluetooth. The instrument operates from its Li‑Ion battery or directly from the measured circuit and is designed for onsite logging, event capture and subsequent detailed analysis.

Features & Benefits

• ±(0.2%+0.01%) voltage accuracy for high‑precision measurement
• 16bit synchronous sampling at 10.24kHz for detailed waveforms
• Records up to 50th harmonics to identify distortion sources
• Four inputs enable measurement of three phases and neutral
• On‑battery runtime 4h standard and up to 5.5h power saving
• USB, WiFi and Bluetooth interfaces for flexible data transfer

**Applications**

• Suitable for load studies to verify electrical system capacity
• Ideal for energy assessments before and after efficiency measures
• Used for harmonic analysis affecting sensitive equipment
• Can be used to capture dips, swells and inrush currents
• Suitable for NEC220 load studies and industrial installations

How are event recordings captured and stored?

Voltage and current events trigger waveform snapshots with timestamped RMS profiles and severity metadata, stored in internal flash memory for later download.

What types of circuits can it measure?

It supports single‑phase, split‑phase, 3‑phase wye and Delta configurations including 2‑element Delta and open‑leg Delta current‑only load studies.

How does the instrument Interface with remote tools?

Files can be copied to a USB flash drive, transferred via WiFi infrastructure or accessed through the mobile/desktop app using Bluetooth for auxiliary modules.

What current sensor ranges are available via probes?

Flexible Rogowski and clamp probes cover ranges from milliamps up to multiple kiloamps depending on the accessory fitted.

Which environmental limits affect operation?

Continuous use is specified between −10°C and +50°C with defined humidity limits that reduce permitted RH as temperature increases.
