Fluke Energy Monitor & Logger, ±(0.2%+0.01%) Accuracy, 500V Maximum Measurement - FLUKE 1732/INTL

This energy monitor & logger is a portable instrument for capturing three-phase electrical measurements and recording energy usage across installations. It is intended for field surveys and load studies where engineers need simultaneous logging of voltage, current, power and associated metrics, with remote viewing options via USB, WiFi or Bluetooth. The unit can be powered from the measured circuit or its internal Li‑Ion battery, enabling mobile operation at service entrances and downstream distribution points.

Features & Benefits

• ±(0.2%+0.01%) voltage accuracy for precise energy calculations
• 16-bit synchronous sampling for high-fidelity waveform capture
• Measures THD on voltage and current to assess distortion
• Battery powered Li‑Ion operation for up to 5.5 hours
• WiFi, Bluetooth and USB connectivity for remote data retrieval
• IEC 61000-4-30 Class S compliance for rigorous power quality logging

**Applications**

• Suitable for conducting NEC-style load studies and demand surveys
• Ideal for power factor and Peak demand analysis in industrial sites
• Used for comparative energy assessments before and after retrofits
• Can be used with wireless modules to log temperature or pressure
• Used with facility WiFi to share data with mobile teams

How does the instrument handle simultaneous measurements from other wireless tools?

It can integrate up to two auxiliary wireless modules to log analogue or sensor values alongside power and energy readings, synchronising these with the main dataset at one reading per second for correlation studies.

What input ranges and circuit types are supported for measurement?

Voltage inputs accept up to 1000Vrms and the instrument supports single-phase, split-phase, 3‑phase wye/star and Delta, Aron/Blondel and open-leg Delta configurations for versatile site use.

How long can logging persist before memory limits are reached?

Typical internal flash memory stores roughly ten eight-week logging sessions at one-minute intervals, subject to configured averaging and interval settings.

What protections are provided for use at service entrances?

The instrument meets measurement-category ratings permitting use up to 600V CAT IV/1000V CAT III environments and includes an intelligent verification function to detect and correct common connection issues.

What sampling and bandwidth specifications support power quality analysis?

The device samples synchronously at 10.24kHz (at 50/60Hz) with a bandwidth to 3.5kHz, enabling detailed capture for compliance with standards such as IEEE 1459 and IEEE 519.

Note

CRITICAL SAFETY ALERT - PLEASE READ! Fluke has determined that certain improper use of the test lead set, 3PHVL-1730 or 3PHVL-1735-5M 'Voltage Test Lead, 3-phase + N', included with the 173x Series, 174x Series Power Quality Loggers and 3540FC Power Monitor, may potentially expose users to hazardous conditions, posing the risk of Serious personal injury or death.
