Fluke Energy Monitor & Logger, ±(0.2%+0.01%) Accuracy, 500V Maximum Measurement - FLUKE-1734/EUS

This energy monitor & logger is a portable instrument for capturing three-phase electrical measurements and recording power-quality data across distribution systems. Designed for field and plant use, it measures voltages, currents, power, energy and harmonic content while operating from the measured circuit or its internal Li‑Ion battery. Connectivity options include USB, WiFi and Bluetooth for remote viewing and file transfer, enabling offsite review and integration with maintenance workflows.

Features & Benefits

• 16‑bit synchronous sampling provides high‑resolution data capture
• ±(0.2%+0.01%) voltage accuracy ensures precise energy comparisons
• Supports 100 V–500 V operation for common industrial supplies
• Measures THD on voltage and current for power‑quality diagnosis
• Internal flash memory stores extended logging sessions locally
• WiFi, Bluetooth and USB connectivity enables remote download

**Applications**

• Suitable for load studies to assess circuit capacity and peaks
• Ideal for energy assessments to quantify savings from upgrades
• Used for power and energy logging to determine kWh and demand
• Suitable for correlating analogue process variables with energy data
• Used with Fluke Connect modules to capture auxiliary sensor readings

How long will it operate on battery power during field use?

The replaceable Li‑Ion battery typically runs about four hours in normal mode and up to 5.5 hours in power‑saving mode, with charge time under six hours.

Which measurement ranges and accessories support high current monitoring?

Rogowski and flexible current probes accommodate 1 A–6000 A ranges depending on probe model, and a 40 A clamp covers low‑current applications.

How does the instrument manage data when logging for extended periods?

Internal flash memory holds multiple sessions

typical capacity allows around ten eight‑week sessions at one‑minute intervals Plus event capture, with USB‑A export to a flash drive.

What safety and environmental operating limits apply on site?

The unit meets IEC measurement categories for use at service entrances and works between −10 °C and +50 °C with specified humidity derating at higher temperatures.

Note

CRITICAL SAFETY ALERT - PLEASE READ! Fluke has determined that certain improper use of the test lead set, 3PHVL-1730 or 3PHVL-1735-5M 'Voltage Test Lead, 3-phase + N', included with the 173x Series, 174x Series Power Quality Loggers and 3540FC Power Monitor, may potentially expose users to hazardous conditions, posing the risk of Serious personal injury or death.
