TE Connectivity TXR Series MIL-C-38999 Tinel Lock Adapters
These TXR series MIL-C-38999 tinel lock adapters designed to terminate a braided cable shield to a connector (Raychem code 40 D38999 connector (see note). These Tinel Lock adapters are a two piece system and consist of a aluminium alloy modified spin coupling onto which the braid is terminated which then interfaces with the rear threads of the connector and a Tinel-Lock ring. The Tinel-Lock ring is made of a special shape memory metal that shrinks uniformly when heated permanently attaching the cable shield to the adapter body. The resulting 360°C termination is able to withstand shock, vibration, thermal cycling and corrosion and the terminated cable can then be sealed and protected using a heat-shrinkable moulded boot. These MIL-C-38999 Tinel Lock adaptors are available in a choice of finishes;
