Strap Hinges

A strap hinge consists of two long, narrow flat metal plates or straps joined by central pin or rod allowing them to rotate. One strap is mounted horizontally across a door or gate the other across an adjacent structure such as a frame or panel. The long straps of the strap hinge provide strength and stability to the door or gate and ensure secure closure and smooth movement. The design of strap hinges makes them ideal for bi-folding gates where one gate is connected or hung from another gate, but they can be also used on internal cabinets and cupboards. Strap hinges are available in many decorative designs to achieve a classic rustic look.
