Eaton Bussmann Series Red Spot™ Range, Type 'T' HBC Fuses

The Red Spot range of offset slotted fuses (or bolted tag fuses) from Eaton Bussmann is specifically designed for the protection of general industrial applications such as power distribution, cable protection and motor protection. Available in BS88 British Standard fuse sizes from A1 to A4, offset slotted and bolted fuses are suitable for general purpose rating (gG) and dual motor rating (gM) motor protection types.

Features and Benefits

• 2 to 200 A rated current
• Breaking capacity 80 kA up to 690 V ac
• Type A1 rated up to 550 V ac/ 250 V dc
• Type A2 rated up to 660 V ac / 460 V dc
• General purpose (gG) and dual motor rated (gM) types
• Low power dissipation
• ASTA 20 certified

As the fuse allows for the starting surge of a motor its full load current must not exceed the lesser of the dual current rating. e.g. 20 M25 must not have a continuous load of greater than 20A.

Eaton British Standard Fuse, 10A, 660V AC TIA10

Use this British Standard fuse from Eaton to stop short circuits or power surges from damaging your electronic equipment. The current-sensitive device acts as an intentional weak link in an electrical circuit and melts to stop the flow of excessive current when an overload occurs. It's suitable to use in general-purpose applications such as lighting systems and transformers. The fuse features low power loss for improved energy efficiency in an electrical circuit. A tag on either end makes it quick and easy to install as well as replace in the event of the fuse blowing. You can rely on this fuse for a long service life. It doesn't deteriorate over time, so there's very little need for maintenance.

• High breaking capacity (HBC) of 80kA (kiloamperes) so able to safely stop excessive electrical spikes
• Causes no damage to nearby wiring to reduce downtime
• Requires minimal space with a compact size of 85.5 (L) x 56.4 (H) x 22.2mm (D)

What's meant by the rated voltage of a fuse?

The rated voltage of a fuse is the voltage range in which is can reliably interrupt and break an electrical circuit.
