Eaton Bussmann Series Red Spot™ Range, Type 'T' HBC Fuses

The Red Spot range of offset slotted fuses (or bolted tag fuses) from Eaton Bussmann is specifically designed for the protection of general industrial applications such as power distribution, cable protection and motor protection. Available in BS88 British Standard fuse sizes from A1 to A4, offset slotted and bolted fuses are suitable for general purpose rating (gG) and dual motor rating (gM) motor protection types.

Features and Benefits

• 2 to 200 A rated current
• Breaking capacity 80 kA up to 690 V ac
• Type A1 rated up to 550 V ac/ 250 V dc
• Type A2 rated up to 660 V ac / 460 V dc
• General purpose (gG) and dual motor rated (gM) types
• Low power dissipation
• ASTA 20 certified

As the fuse allows for the starting surge of a motor its full load current must not exceed the lesser of the dual current rating. e.g. 20 M25 must not have a continuous load of greater than 20A.

Eaton British Standard Fuse, 32A, 660V AC TIA32M63

Opt for this Eaton British Standard fuse to break a circuit when excessive current surges are experienced. It improves workplace safety by minimising heat damage and reducing the risk of electrocution or fire. A high breaking capacity of 80kA (kiloamperes) means the unit is able to safely break a large overcurrent. At the same time it allows for the starting surge of a motor, so is able to discern between serious and harmless power surges. The fuse is easy to mount, thanks to a tag on either end that lets you quickly bolt it down. An air-tight seal ensures no moisture or dirt is able to enter the fuse and negatively affect its good working function. You'll find fuses like this in low-voltage industrial systems and lighting or motor applications.

• Versatile option offers protection to both general-purpose circuits and motor circuits
• Low power loss for improved efficiency in a power system

What happens when a fuse blows?

When a fuse blows, the electrical supply to a particular circuit is immediately cut off to limit the risk of damage to electrical wiring. After it's blown, you can safely replace the fuse without the risk of electrocution.
