Eaton Bussmann HRC Offset Tag Fuses - BS88 British Standard Fuses

Eaton Bussmann's offset tag fuses (or offset bolted tag fuses) are essentially a cylindrical fuse that is fitted with offset brackets, these brackets allow the fuse to be bolted onto a fuse holder. Predominantly, this type of fuse is used within installations as a "weak link". They are designed to break when a fault occurs, such as an overcurrent or short circuit - they are a safety and damage measure. Eaton Bussmann's fuses are commonly found within a multitude of industrial and switchgear applications, electrical equipment, wiring systems and circuit breakers. This fuse range is suitable for general purpose use.

Features & Benefits

• The low-temperature rise enables the fuse to be suitable for high-density mounting
• Fuse links, specifically designed for the protection of equipment
• Conforms to industry standards
• Low voltage fuse
• High rupture capacity (HRC)
• Suitable for three-phase applications
• Suitable for type 2 co-ordinated applications as defined in IEC 947-4
• Low power loss, typically 20% lower than the requirements of BS 88

Why use a slotted tag fuse?

A slotted tag fuse is distinguished by the metal slotted tags that extend off the ends of the fuse. This tag can either enable the fuse to have an offset tag or be centred to the fuse. Predominantly, this type of fuse is used within installations as a "weak link". They are designed to break when a fault occurs, such as an overcurrent or short circuit - they are a safety and damage protection measure within electrical circuits.

Eaton British Standard Fuse, A2, 32A AAO32

Choose this electrical fuse from the Eaton range for overcurrent and short circuit protection. It's a gG (general purpose) type fuse so it can hold out for two to five seconds when it receives five times its rated current.
The fuse is an essential device that breaks the current flow to your machine or circuit in the event of an electrical fault. This protects both operator and equipment. As it has a voltage rating of 550V AC (alternating current), you can use this device in heavy-duty industrial applications.

Features & Benefits

• Overall length of 85mm to fit into compact circuit designs
• Bolted offset tags for easy attachment to fuse holders
• Designed for type-2 coordinated applications to save downtime and improve safety
• Low resistance for higher sensitivity to current and voltage changes

Is it possible to reuse this fuse after it breaks?

No, once an irregularity in voltage or current flow causes a fuse element to break, the whole fuse needs to be replaced immediately to keep your equipment safe to use and protected from damage.
