Eaton Bussmann Series Red Spot™ Range, Type 'T' HBC Fuses

The Red Spot range of offset slotted fuses (or bolted tag fuses) from Eaton Bussmann is specifically designed for the protection of general industrial applications such as power distribution, cable protection and motor protection. Available in BS88 British Standard fuse sizes from A1 to A4, offset slotted and bolted fuses are suitable for general purpose rating (gG) and dual motor rating (gM) motor protection types.

Features and Benefits

• 2 to 200 A rated current
• Breaking capacity 80 kA up to 690 V ac
• Type A1 rated up to 550 V ac/ 250 V dc
• Type A2 rated up to 660 V ac / 460 V dc
• General purpose (gG) and dual motor rated (gM) types
• Low power dissipation
• ASTA 20 certified

As the fuse allows for the starting surge of a motor its full load current must not exceed the lesser of the dual current rating. e.g. 20 M25 must not have a continuous load of greater than 20A.

Eaton British Standard Fuse, 63M, 100 A TIS63M100

This Eaton British Standard fuse acts as a protective unit for industrial machinery by preventing damage caused by short circuits and electrical surges. Its IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) double-application rating makes it highly versatile. You can use it as a protective fuse in general industrial operations like cable safety and electricity disbursement, or choose it for motor operations. As it's an HRC (high rupture capacity) fuse at 80 kA, it can withstand electrical voltages of up to 690 V AC, even in heavily motorised components.

• Low power dissipation conserves energy
• A3 fuse size for standard application
• Overall length of 90.5 mm, body diameter of 26 mm and body height of 58 mm for use in compact setups
• Easy to mount and bolt, so it's suitable for domestic use

Does this fuse have a limited motor load current?

Yes, but it depends on the load current of the machinery you use it in. It's advisable to always limit its full load current to a smaller number than the dual current rating.
