IMI Norgren Pneumatic Cylinder and Actuator Reed Switch, 10m Cable, 1.8ms Response Time - M/50/LSU Series - M/50/LSU/10V

Automatically monitor your pneumatic cylinder with this reed switch from IMI Norgren. It uses magnets to detect the position of the cylinder piston and communicate with your control unit. A 10m-long cable means you can easily connect it to your electrical circuit, and the cable sheath is made from flame-retardant PVC for added safety. This reed switch is also resistant to shock and vibration, so it's a durable choice for use in heavy-duty operations. Its quick response time of 1.8ms (milliseconds) allows for fast switching in automated processes.

Features & Benefits

• LED indicator shows operating status for quick configuration
• Compatible with multiple cylinders for versatility
• Broad operating temperature range between -20°C and +80°C for use in demanding environments

Applications

• Agricultural equipment
• Medical and pharmaceutical industry
• Mining equipment

How does this reed switch work?

This reed switch uses magnetic proximity to monitor the cylinder position. The magnet in the reed switch responds to the magnetic field generated by the magnet in the cylinder piston. As this is a NO (normally open) switch, the circuits close when it detects the piston, sending a signal to the control system.
