RS PRO Heater Mat, 12V, 2.5 W Square, 5 mm 50mm

The heater mat measures 50 mm in length and 50 mm in width and is 0.2 mm thick. It's made from Kapton©, a thin and lightweight heating material that offers good resistance to fungi and bacteria, meaning it's suitable for use in sterilisation tasks. It's also weather-resistant and ozone-resistant, and you can use it at temperatures as low as -60°C and as high as +200°C. It performs at its best in combination with temperature-sensing and control elements.

You'll commonly find this heater mat in the military, aerospace and medical fields. It's often used for medical sterilisation or insulation and thermal-transfer tasks. You'll also find it used with LCDs (liquid crystal displays) and photographic or optical equipment.
