RS PRO 9V Lithium Manganese Dioxide Battery (CR9V)

Consistent and powerful Lithium battery well suited for use in smoke detectors, medical instruments and security devices. These non-rechargeable 9V batteries are designed for reliability over long periods providing up to 50% more energy than the Alkaline equivalent.

Able to hold their power for long periods of time during storage the PP3 battery benefits from a low level of self-discharge of 0.16% a month, high pulse capability and high energy density for a consistent and reliably stable voltage.

With a wide operating temperature of -30°C to +85°C the 9V battery is ideal for a wide range of applications and due to the Li-MnO2 chemistry and low self-discharge rate the LiMnO2 battery will last up to 5x longer than its Alkaline equivalent and up to 10x longer than Carbon Zinc batteries offering over 10 years service life in low power applications.

Are Lithium Batteries Harmful?

All batteries contain hazardous chemicals that can cause irritation and burns. This risk is reduced by not mixing different manufacturer battery types, batteries of different chemistries and by the replacement of all batteries at the same time.

How to dispose of Lithium Batteries?

Recycle responsibly, a wide range of schemes are available.

Guidance

Always install the batteries correctly as per instruction

Ensure that the contact points are clean and conductive

Do not mix different types of battery

Do not heat or attempt to recharge the battery

Do not dispose of in a fire
