Single Phase Motors

Single phase motors are a type of AC motor that uses electromagnetic principles to create useful rotational energy, they operate in a similar way to 3 phase motors but are simplified. These motors need less maintenance than 3 phase motors, and will normally last longer. Single phase motors are used in equipment and machines that are smaller in size and require lower horsepower.
