SMC ZHV Series Vacuum Generator, 5270L/min Maximum Suction Flow, -6kPa Maximum Vacuum Pressure - ZHV40-F

This vacuum generator is a Compact pneumatic ejector designed to create vacuum and discharge flow by supplying compressed Air in industrial automation settings. It operates across a broad temperature range and is configured for straightforward nozzle adjustment to vary suction and discharge performance, making it suitable for integration into production equipment where Air-driven vacuum and blow functions are required.

Features & Benefits

• Maximum suction flow 5270 L/min increases handling throughput
• Nozzle diameter 42mm enables large-particle or chip passage
• Operates at supply pressure up to 0.5 MPa for high performance
• Rated to 80 °C for use in elevated-temperature processes
• Adjustable nozzle position allows tuning of vacuum and blow rates
• Aluminium body and NBR Seals reduce maintenance requirements

Applications

• Suitable for transfer of workpieces with leakage in assembly lines
• Ideal for blowing coolant and removing machining chips
• Used for collection of powders in marking and printing systems
• Can be used for removal of water droplets from components
• Suitable for suction of solid hard workpieces and particles

What supply-pressure conditions are required for Peak performance?

Peak suction and discharge figures are provided at a 0.5 MPa supply pressure, and operation is supported across 0 to 0.7 MPa.

How is the flow rate adjusted on-site?

Loosen the hexagon socket set screw, rotate the nozzle to increase or decrease flow, then re‑tighten the screw to an M3 torque of 0.6 N·m.

What maintenance considerations apply for particulate handling?

Use the optional dust bag and recommended soft-bore hoses to avoid back-pressure

inspect for wear, Air leakage, tube hardening and retain filtration to protect discharge components.

Which materials are used for wetted parts and accessory items?

The main body is aluminium die-cast, Seals are NBR, the dust bag is polyester with 10 μm filtration and the hose band is stainless steel.
