A welded exposed junction gives this thermocouple a quick response time. This junction is also highly sensitive, which enhances accuracy when taking temperature readings. For flexibility and resistance to chemicals, the leads are insulated in a PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) Teflon material, making this thermocouple suitable for use in tough industrial settings.
