Weller WXD 2010 Soldering/Desoldering Station

Introducing the WXD 2010 Soldering and Desoldering Station from Weller. This professional 2-channel soldering station is supplied with WXDP 120 Desoldering Iron but it's also compatible with all WX series tools and has an output of 255W. The unit ensures maximum temperature stability and accuracy with a ±2ºC temperature stability and a temperature accuracy of ±9ºC. The Weller WXD 2 features a high-quality touchscreen display made of glass. From here you can choose your custom settings. There is also a click wheel and a confirm button, a USB port for parameter configuration and data logging. The USB port supports all standard USB sticks. The WXD 2 soldering station is also ESD safe so can be safely used with electronics. This soldering station is energy efficient and can help with cost savings. Featuring a sensor that monitors use, this soldering station will automatically adopt a standby mode when not in use. The WXD 2 also has a very low operating temperature of +380 °C compared to similar models with operating temperatures up to +550 °C.

Is this soldering station ESD safe?

Yes, this soldering station is ESD safe. While glass can build up a static charge, the integrated glass display on this soldering station is completely ESD safe.

Can I use other tools and soldering irons (other than supplied) with this station?

Yes, this soldering station is compatible with tools in the WX series from Weller, including a range of soldering irons, desoldering irons and desoldering tweezers. Further accessories such as heating plates, solder baths and solder fume extractors are available. These are controlled from the main power unit.

Can I use the desoldering iron horizontally and vertically?

The WXDP 120 desoldering iron supplied with the station is only suitable for horizontal applications. The WXDV 120 model can be used for vertical application but is sold separately. See 801-4741 (without stand) or 801-4748 (with stand).

Does it display temperature in Centigrade and Fahrenheit?

Within the menu navigation, you are able to make your choice of the temperature scale.
