SKF Mineral/Synthetic Oil Anti-Fretting Agent, 0.5kg, 195mm²/s Viscosity - LGAF 3E/0.5

Use this anti-fretting agent from SKF to prevent corrosion from vibration or misalignment in a bearing unit. It lubricates metal surfaces to allow smooth rotation and quick dismounting. The base is made up of a mix of synthetic and mineral oil, so it has excellent flow and reduces mechanical wear in high-pressure applications. It's infused with a lithium thickener, which maintains its stability under extreme temperatures. You can use this grease to dismount all sorts of industrial components from bolts, couplers and nuts to wheels and studs.

• Broad operating temperature range of -25°C to +150°C for use in demanding conditions
• Welding load of 3,000 rotations per minute for extreme-pressure applications
• Water-resistant for stability in wet environments
• Thick paste form means it won't leak

Applications

• Recycling centres
• Agricultural equipment
• Automotive engineering
• Pharmaceutical industry

What areas are at risk of fretting corrosion?

Any two metal surfaces that are in constant contact with each other are at risk of fretting corrosion. It also affects bearing arrangements that aren't properly fitted. Using an anti-fretting agent reduces the risk of corrosion and prevents further fretting damage.
