Eaton RCD Switch, 240V AC / 220V DC Voltage Rating, Screw Terminals - FRCDM Series - 167894 FRCDM-63/4/003-G/B

Safeguard your home or workplace against electric hazards and the risk of fire with this RCD switch from Eaton. As it's an RCCB device, you can use it with a fuse or circuit breaker for assured residual current protection to BS EN 61008. It works by continuously monitoring connected circuits for earth leakage. The type-B tripping characteristic means it breaks the circuit when currents of 3 to 5 times the rated load are detected. Because it's a modular-style device, you can easily add on auxiliary contacts and restarting devices to enhance your electrical safety systems.

Features & Benefits

• Lifespan of more than 4,000 electrical and 20,000 mechanical operations for long-term use
• Short delay of 10ms allows transient currents to pass through to minimise nuisance tripping
• Contact position and trip indicators for ease of use
• Wide operating temperature range between -25°C and +60°C for use in harsh conditions

What's the ingress protection rating of this RCD switch?

This RCD switch has an IP40 rating, so it's protected against stray wires and screws. An IP54 rating is possible with the addition of a moisture-proof enclosure to help protect it from dust and water splashes.
