Eaton RCD, 16 A, Type B - PXK-B Series - PXK-B16/1N/003-A

Protect yourself and your electrical equipment from short circuits, surges and current overload with this Eaton RCD (residual current device). When the breaker detects any current imbalances – which can indicate a serious shock hazard – it isolates the circuit and cuts off the electricity. This quick action prevents shocks to operators and damage to equipment. Attach a breaker to each circuit so that a fault in one won't stop the other circuits from functioning.

• Breaking capacity at maximum voltage rating of 10 kA for safety
• Current rating of 16 A and AC voltage of 240 V for versatile use
• Switchgear suitable for domestic and commercial application

How much current is needed to trip this circuit breaker?

A trip sensitivity of 30 mA and type B tripping mean it breaks at a current of 120 to 150 mA within 40 milliseconds. This rates as high sensitivity.

How does this circuit breaker detect current leakage?

This unit detects small stray voltages by measuring the current on the circuit's supply and return conductors. It also features Type-A earth leakage protection, meaning it breaks the circuit for sinusoidal and alternating residual currents along with pulsed, DC residual currents that reach dangerous levels, for greater safety.
