Allen Bradley Inductive Proximity Sensor, 0.6mm Detection Range, 100mA Switching Current - 871C-D1NP4-E2

Install an inductive proximity sensor in a tight space using this miniature device from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range. As it has a compact barrel with a diameter of 4mm, it fits into narrow gaps. It's suitable for flush mounting on equipment and panels and won't encroach on the sensing area. A close detection range of 0.6mm makes it ideal for intricate detection tasks such as foil-seal packaging and gear-tooth positioning on production lines. It's easy to set up and integrate with automated systems using the IO-Link communication interface.

• IP67 (ingress protection) rating means it's dust-tight and immersible in water up to 1m for 30 minutes

• Stainless steel housing is resistant to corrosion and easy to keep clean in hygienic areas such as food processing plants

• Reverse polarity, short circuit and overload protections to minimise electrical damage and increase sustainability

Standards and Certifications

• CE (Conformitè Europëenne)

• cULus (Underwriters' Laboratories for Canada and the US)

What materials does this inductive proximity sensor detect?

This inductive proximity sensor can detect ferrous and non-ferrous metal objects. This means it's suitable for sensing commonly-used metals such as steel, copper and aluminium.

871C Miniature Inductive Sensors

Allen Bradley 871C series miniature inductive proximity sensors are self-contained, solid-state devices designed to sense the presence of ferrous and non-ferrous metal objects without touching them. These small-barrel sensors are designed for space-critical applications where standard-size sensors simply will not fit. IO-Link enabled sensors offer advanced features and diagnostics including Automatic Device Configuration, multiple profiles, trending, descriptive tags, and device-specific parameters

Features and Benefits

IO-Link communication;Three wire operation;3 conductor, 3-pin pico or 3 pin 6 in lead;3 mm, 4 mm, and 5 mm barrel diameters;10 V dc to 30 V dc;Normally open contacts;False pulse, transient noise, reverse polarity and short circuit protections
