SMC HRS Series Thermo Chiller, 31L/min Maximum Flow Rate, 5°C Minimum Operating Temperature - HRS050-AF-20-M

This thermo chiller provides precision temperature control for process cooling using air-cooled refrigeration and deionised water as the circulating medium. Designed for laboratory and industrial automation environments, it maintains tight thermal regulation and supports continuous operation within typical ambient ranges.

Features and Benefits:

• Temperature stability ±0.1°C ensures consistent process conditions
• Cooling capacity 4700/5100W delivers robust heat removal
• Heating output 1100W allows controlled temperature increases
• Pump flow up to 31 L/min supports high-throughput circuits
• PID control enables fine adjustment and automated regulation
• Tank volume 5 L reduces refill frequency for uninterrupted runs

Applications

• Suitable for cooling heat-generating production equipment
• Ideal for temperature control in test benches
• Used with deionised water loops in semiconductor processes
• Can be used for thermal management of automation modules
• Suitable for conditioning fluids in laboratory reactors

What refrigerant is utilised and why is it specified?

It uses R410A, an HFC refrigerant selected for air-cooled refrigeration performance in compact chillers.

Which safety and electrical standards does it meet?

It conforms to IEC 60204-1 and carries CE marking

construction also aligns with RoHS and UL requirements.

What are the acceptable ambient and set temperature ranges?

The unit operates reliably with ambient temperatures between 5-40 °C and a settable fluid temperature range of 5-40 °C.

What materials contact the circulating fluid?

Wetted components include stainless steel, copper (brazed heat exchanger), bronze, alumina ceramic, carbon, PP, PE, POM, FKM, EPDM and PVC.
