Siemens Soft Starter, 18.5kW, 400V AC - 3RW30 Series - 3RW3028-1BB04

Need to reduce current peaks, voltage fluctuations and load on the power supply network when working with 3-phase asynchronous motors? This miniature soft starter from Siemens' SIRIUS range helps you increase both the safety and efficiency of your motor, in a compact package that saves space in your setup. It features an integrated bypass that diverts the current through the soft starter's switching circuits during operation. This helps minimise heat build-up in your control cabinet and increase the working life of your equipment.

• Compact dimensions of 45 (W) x 125 (H) x 150mm (D) for easy handling
• Operating temperature range of -25°C to +60°C for use in commercial and industrial environments
• Screw and snap-on mounting options for easy installation

Why would I use an integrated bypass contactor with a soft starter?

A bypass contactor opens once the motor has reached full speed. This reduces power loss through heat, which means the enclosure can be made smaller and additional devices aren't needed.

Where can I use a soft starter with an integrated bypass contactor?

Integral bypass soft starters are suitable for use with applications where the speed remains constant once it's up and running at full speed, such as pumps, fans and conveyors.
