Allen Bradley 1492 SP Series Miniature Circuit Breakers – Type B

The 1492-SPM Type B general purpose Miniature Circuit Breakers by Allen Bradley offer excellent protection for electrical circuits. With this series 1, 2, and 3 Pole units are available so that you can find the perfect MCB to suit your application.

The 1492-SPM series of MCB’s are current limiting and have an instantaneous break time. These models have Type B Tripping characteristics. They are IP20 finger-safe and they also have dual terminals for wiring and bus bar flexibility. Installation is simple as these MCB’s can be DIN rail mounted, and up to six accessories can be fixed on the same circuit breaker to provide a complete electrical safety system. The 1492-SPM series of circuit breakers reduces downtime from nuisance tripping due to their enhanced shock and vibration resistance.

A Type B miniature circuit breaker will trip instantly at a rate of three to five times its rated current. These MCB’s are often used for small inductive loads where switching surges are very low. They are frequently used in residential or light commercial applications.

Features and Benefits:

• Easy and fast installation via DIN rail mounting
• Instantaneous break time
• Available in 1, 2 or 3 pole versions
• Thermal-magnetic tripping mechanism

Allen Bradley Miniature Circuit Breaker, Type B, 25A Current Rating - 1492-SPM3B250

Use this miniature circuit breaker from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range to protect your electrical equipment from short circuits. A thermal-magnetic mechanism trips the current off when the switch reaches its 10kA (kiloamps) breaking capacity, protecting both connected equipment and personnel. It's a type B breaker, which means it trips between three and five times the rated current. This makes it ideal for resistive, non-inductive loads where surge levels are low. You can be sure of minimal maintenance and a long service life as the device has a mechanical endurance of 20,000 operations.

Features & Benefits

• DIN rail mounting makes installation and maintenance easier
• IP20 (ingress protection) rating indicates the device is touch-proof, for enhanced user safety
• Screw terminals ensure secure electrical connections
• Indicator window shows red when closed and green when open to make status identification quick and simple

Standards and Certifications

• CE (Conformitè Europëenne)
• VDE (Verband der Elektrotechnik)
• UL (Underwriters' Laboratories)
• CSA (Canadian Standards Association)

Can this miniature circuit breaker withstand extreme temperatures?

Yes. It has an ambient temperature rating of -25°C to +55°C, and a storage temperature rating of -40°C to +70°C.
