Olflex Heat 180 SiF

From Lapp, the OLFLEX HEAT is a single core cable with excellent temperature resistance. It features a silicone based insulation that makes it ideal for use in high temperature environments where conventional core insulation will brittle.

The cable has a flexible fine-wire conductor, and is halogen free, ensuring it is suitable for a wide range of applications. It also has resistance to oils, fats and chemical substances.

Features and Benefits

• Temperature Resistance
• Cold Resistance
• Resistance to some oils and chemical substances
• Halogen-free according to IEC 60754-1
• Corrosiveness of combustion gases according to IEC 60754-2
• Flame-retardant according IEC 60332-1-2
• Operating Temperature -50 °C to +180 °C (Adequate Ventilation Required)
• Minimum bending radius 6 x cable diameter for fixed applications

Applications

The Lapp OLFLEX HEAT 180 SiF cable is highly versatile, but its temperature resistance makes it particularly suited to;

• HVAC Systems
• Thermal and Heating Elements
• Furnace Construction
• Generator and Transformer Manufacturing
• Lighting Technology

Which wire types are a better choice, stranded or solid?

Both stranded and solid wire have the same resistance properties but stranded wire guarantee an extra flexibility, resistance to bending and are generally easier to install than solid cables.

Note

These are supplied coiled and shrink wrapped NOT on a reel.

LAPP Hook Up Wire, 2000V Test Voltage, 500V Voltage Rating - ÖLFLEX HEAT 180 SiF Series - 48104

If you want a connection that can take the heat, this hook up wire from LAPP is a safe bet. You can count on it to perform in demanding conditions thanks to its extended operating temperature range of -50°C to +180°C. It can even withstand up to +200°C for short periods to suit installation in thermal systems such as saunas and furnaces. The conductive copper cable zips signals across the circuit in a flash for near-instant responses.

Features & Benefits

• Thin 20AWG wire size allows quick routing through space-restricted areas
• Red sheath is easy to spot in busy cable arrangements
• Halogen-free properties mean it won't release toxins if heated, enhancing workplace safety

Applications

• IT infrastructure
• Manufacturing industry
• Motors and transformers

Is this hook up wire resistant to corrosion?

Yes. The cable's jacket is resistant to chemicals, oils and fats, preventing the internal wires from corroding in challenging environments.
