Allen Bradley Guardmaster Safety Edge Sensor, 1m Protected Area, 24.5 (L) x 28.5mm (W) - 440F-E000024RS
Choose this safety edge sensor from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley Guardmaster range to prevent accidents in your work environment. When the edge of the machine guard comes in contact with an object, the rubber profile will compress to protect the operator from injury. This unit then sends a signal to the control system, causing the guard to stop or reverse. You can use this sensor in moving devices like automated doors and conveyor systems.

How do I mount this safety edge sensor on a machine guard?
You can attach this sensor to the edge of your machine guard using the integrated C-rail. This rail is made from strong aluminium that's resistant to impacts and corrosion, so you can rely on it for long-term use in demanding environments.
Safedge Profiles
The Safedge pressure sensitive system is supplied in two popular profiles, with cushion factor over travel distances of 5mm and 19mm. The cushion factor is the distance the profile can be depressed after a signal has been generated.
It is mounted on an aluminium C rail (included) and is supplied in 1, 1.5 and 2m lengths that may be cut and joined in series or parallel to support a wide range of industrial applications such as power operated doors, guided vehicles and moving machinery beds.
The Safedge profile uses a combination of non-conductive rubber and flexible wire cored conductive rubber bonded together enabling it to return to its original shape even after repeated compressions.
It has no rigid internal parts to damage the rubber profile or cause fatigue failures after prolonged use. The multi-stranded copper wire core throughout the length of the strip also insures that there are no problems of resistance build up on long lengths.
A range of accessories for end termination and 90° active corner joints are also available.

Note
These Safedge profiles are supplied part assembled. The series terminating resistor and associated end closing cap are not attached to the profile but are supplied separately in a bag. This allows the profile to be cut to the appropriate length before completing the assembly by inserting the resistor and gluing the end cap in place using industrial cyanoacrylate adhesive.
