The Jumo Thermometer has a case made of stainless steel (1.4301) with a diameter of 80 mm. The measuring system used operates on the principle of the bimetallic spiral, which acts directly on the pointer via an axis. The temperature can be read on an scale with white lettering, protected by a high quality acrylic glass pane (PMMA). The temperature is displayed in °C and °F. An additional drag indicator records and displays the maximum process temperature reached. The case has protection class IP55 and can be used in limit temperatures from -30 to 80 °C, the rated position is arbitrary. The device is fixed by a stainless steel protection tube with a diameter of 8 mm and a thread of the screw connection is G 1 form A according to DIN 3852/2. The protection tube output is radial downward from case. Since no additional auxiliary power is required, the device is ideally suited for energy saving temperature measurement. The device is used, for example, in the construction of transformers.
