Use this handy SMA connector plug from RS PRO next time you need to transmit data in the home or workplace. It's designed for linking two coax (also called coaxial) cables together – they're the wires that send radio-frequency (RF) signals from one place to another. These type of SMA (subminiature version A) connectors are suitable for a wide range of RF applications, including WiFi equipment, mobile telephone antennas and microwave systems.

SMA connectors have an impedance of 50 Ω. This specific connector has an operating frequency of 12.4 GHz and can be crimped onto RG58A cables, such as those used for WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) antennas.
