Fluke Clamp Meter, 0.2% AC Current Accuracy, 10μA DC Current Resolution - Fluke 772

This clamp meter is a portable DC current clamp meter designed for in-circuit milliamp work in industrial control and instrumentation environments. It measures and sources 4–20mA signals without breaking loops, and includes a non-contact voltage detector for added on-site diagnostics. Powered by AA batteries, it is intended for technicians working with process transmitters, I/O testing and valve or isolator verification.

Features & Benefits

• 0.2% AC accuracy enabling precise verification of AC-related signals
• 10μA DC resolution for high-precision DC current measurement
• Source and simulate 0–24.00mA to test control system I/O
• Scaled mA output allows logging without interrupting the loop
• Mini jaw 4.5mm opening for Compact access to small conductors
• LCD display with 30V max input for voltage checks and diagnostics

**Applications**

• Suitable for commissioning and troubleshooting 4–20mA transmitters
• Ideal for testing control system input/output modules
• Used for in-circuit measurement while powering loops with 24V
• Can be used to verify valve positioners and mA isolators
• Used with logging metres to Record process signals without disconnection

How long will it operate during typical field use?

With four AA batteries fitted, it provides around 12 h when sourcing 12 mA into 500 Ω under the stated test condition.

What environmental range supports field deployment?

It operates between -10°C and 50°C and tolerates relative humidity limits up to 90% below 30°C and 75% up to 55°C.

How does the clamp behave near electromagnetic fields?

For jaw measurements, add 1 mA to the reading specification when EMC field strengths range from 1 V/m to 3 V/m to account for interference.

What mechanical protections are provided for typical site handling?

The instrument meets IP40, passes a 1m drop test for most of the unit, and conforms to vibration and random shock requirements specified for industrial tools.
