To really seal the deal, the unit comes with a CR sealing ring and an NBR O-ring that work together to keep out dirt and moisture particles, keeping the gland's interior spick and span. Chemicals, corrosion and overheating aren't a problem, thanks to its durable nickel-plated brass body.
