Starrett Gauge Set
The Starrett telescoping gauge set of six precision tools is designed for internal measurements of holes or slots in the six different ranges like 8mm to 13mm, 13mm to 19mm, 19mm to 32mm, 32mm to 54mm, 54mm to 89mm and 89mm to 150mm. Each of these gauge consists of a rigid knurled steel handle with a knurled contact locking screw. The contact points are precision ground to a radius to give proper clearance for the smallest hole the gauge to enter. Also, the constant spring tension gives a uniform contact pressure to ensure measurement. The final size is measured across the contact points with a suitable instrument like Vernier calliper or micrometre.
