RS PRO Solid Adhesive, 500 g

There are many advantages of using an epoxy putty, as it benefits from excellent moisture and chemical resistance, and is impact resistant. The putty has increased mechanical and fatigue strength and good electrical properties, and there is low shrink during cure. Epoxy putties can be used on a variety of materials, such as metal and wood. It has a long shelf life and no VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). Metal epoxy putty can also come in stick form.

A kit comprising of Hardener and Resin which should be mixed in a ratio of 1.1

Cured epoxy has a grey steel appearance

Excellent filling characteristics and may be used on vertical and overhead surfaces without running or sagging

Forms a strong adhesive bond to most metals

May be machined, tapped and filed

Ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease. Mix equal volumes of hardener and resin for 2 minutes until a uniform colour is obtained. Remains workable for 60 minutes at 20°C. Full cure in 24 hours.

Epoxy adhesives have a variety of uses and are essential when a reliable and strong bond is required, meaning they are often used in manufacturing or construction work. Other applications include general purpose adhesives for at home projects, and as a gap filler for reconstructions. The glue once hardened can be sanded, drilled and painted which results in a wider variety of applications.
