Are Lithium Thionyl Chloride batteries harmful?


These batteries can sometimes leak a substance called Potassium Hydroxide which is a caustic agent that could cause potential skin, eye and respiratory irritations. To reduce the risk of this type of leak happening, batteries of different manufacturer types and different chemistries should not be mixed.
