Switch disconnectors are an electrical protective device used to cut off the power supply to isolated areas of a circuit, these switches can be fused or non-fused. Fused switches are used to break a circuit while the non-fused switches are used to disconnect a circuit by using a rotary switch which breaks the circuit with a rotating lever, non-fused switches can also be reset without a replacement fuse. A knife blade can be used to break a circuit by lifting a lever within the device to disconnect.
