Photomultipliers

The Broadcom Silicon Photomultiplier (SiPM) range are highly sensitive solid-state photodetectors used for ultra-sensitive precision measurement of single photons with excellent time resolution. The SiPM sensor can detect very low levels of light along with a compact size that can be side scalable mounted allowing you to create larger arrays. Silicon photomultipliers deliver sharp, quasi-digital pulses that correspond to each individual photon.

Used in research fields for example medical imaging, astrophysics, and nuclear physics besides distance measurement.
