Eaton Zener Barrier, Resistance Isolator, 6.6V Maximum Voltage - MTL5582/RS

Take the temperature of an explosive situation with this Zener barrier resistance isolator from Eaton. It lets you safely monitor heat levels in a hazardous area by connecting an external monitoring system to a resistance temperature device (RTD) located in the danger zone. Galvanic isolation keeps the two circuits completely separate to limit the energy levels in the detection device. This reduces the risk of accidental ignition of flammable or combustible materials in the event of fault or failure. While it's typically used with a three-wire Pt100 sensor, this versatile gadget adapts at the flick of a switch to work with two-wire or four-wire connections instead. You'll find devices like this one used in the mining industry, petrochemical production and flour mills.

Features & Benefits

• LED indicator offers at-a-glance status information
• Wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C means it's compatible with challenging conditions
• Removable connectors make set-up and maintenance a breeze
• Operates with resistance between 10 and 400Ω for high-sensitivity readings

How do I mount this device?

For hassle-free installation, this handy piece of kit snaps quickly and easily onto a standard DIN rail.
