Honeywell Bi-Metallic Thermostat, NC, Opens at +220°C- 2455RC Series - 2455RC 9082-466 L220C

Use this robust Honeywell bi-metallic thermostat for exact temperature regulation in high-temperature environments. Its durable metal alloy contacts are rated to 250 V AC, and it can handle high currents up to 10 A. The unit has a snap-action switch that's normally closed (NC) and opens when the ambient or surface temperature rises above +220°C. It automatically resets (closes) at +180°C and can withstand a full +260°C maximum operating temperature. For safety, the SPST (single pole, single throw) contact is electrically separated from the mounting bracket.

Features and Benefits

• Durable ceramic housing to withstand harsh environments
• Standard performance thanks to factory calibration
• Quick-connect terminals for easy installation
• High-capacity 10 A rating compatible with HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems
• Compact size for rapid response to temperature changes

Applications

• High-temperature appliances such as pottery kilns
• Air-conditioning equipment
• Automotive industry

How can this device withstand such high operating temperatures?

The switch on this unit is fully enclosed in a heat-resistant ceramic housing with a heat-sensitive disc retained by a heat-conducting stainless-steel end cap. This protects it from high operating temperatures.
