Honeywell Bi-Metallic Thermostat, NC, Opens at +100°C - 2455RA Series - 2455R 82-191 L100C

If you have precise temperature-control requirements, opt for this bi-metallic thermostat from Honeywell. It maintains temperature settings to a very high level of accuracy. This SPST (single pole, single throw) snap-action switch is normally closed (NC) and is compatible with 250 V AC circuits. The switch opens when the temperature rises to +100°C and automatically resets (closes) at 15°C below the nominated operating temperature (+85°C).

• Broad operating temperature range of 0°C to +150°C for use in various demanding industrial situations

Applications

• Automotive industry
• Major appliances
• Heat and smoke detectors

What makes a bi-metallic thermostat an accurate choice?

Bi-metallic thermostats are operated by discs made of two metals. When the temperature falls or rises, these metals respond differently from each other, but in a predictable and consistent manner. This causes the disc to flex, which opens or closes the contacts and operates the switch.
