Honeywell Close-On-Rise Thermostat Switch, 15A, 240V AC - 2455R Series - 2455R 82-712 F75C

Regulate the temperature of an enclosed space using this thermostat switch from Honeywell. It's a close-on-rise switch, meaning the thermostat's contacts will close when it reaches the set temperature of +75°C. This activates the cooling system to prevent overheating. The contacts will reopen when it reaches the opening temperature of +60°C, reactivating the thermostat. As the contacts are made of silver and nickel alloy, they have high electrical conductivity and resistance to corrosion for reliable current transmission. Use this switch to control your bi-metallic thermostat.

Features & Benefits

• Broad operating temperature range of 0°C to +150°C for use in hot and cold environments
• Tough phenolic housing material for resistance to impact and wear
• Current rating of 15A makes it suitable for use in high-power systems
• Quick-connect terminals offer fast installation without the need for soldering

Applications

• HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems
• Automotive industry

How does a bi-metallic thermostat work?

A bi-metallic thermostat comes with two strips made of different metals that respond to temperature changes. When temperature increases, one of the strips expands and bends. This causes the circuit to break and cuts off the power until the temperature lowers.
