RS PRO Type N Thermocouple, +1250°C, 500 mm Length, 1.5 mm Diameter


Use this Type N thermocouple from RS PRO to measure temperature changes in extreme environments. Its junction is constructed from a positive nickel-chrome-silicon alloy and a negative nickel-silicon conductor that together create a voltage reading as the device heats up or cools.
The nicrosil probe material is a special alloy that has high thermoelectric stability and resistance to rust. The insulated hot junction provides electrical shielding and protects the sensor from electromagnetic interference. This makes for accurate and reliable temperature readings.
The flexible probe allows you to install this device in a variety of positions and the rugged construction means you can use it in applications that feature high pressure, strong vacuums or heavy vibration. You'll commonly find this type of thermocouple in heat treatment processes, synthetic fibre production and the paper industry.
