Eaton Bussmann Series Red Spot™ Range, Type 'T' HBC Fuses

The Red Spot range of offset slotted fuses (or bolted tag fuses) from Eaton Bussmann is specifically designed for the protection of general industrial applications such as power distribution, cable protection and motor protection. Available in BS88 British Standard fuse sizes from A1 to A4, offset slotted and bolted fuses are suitable for general purpose rating (gG) and dual motor rating (gM) motor protection types.

Features and Benefits

• 2 to 200 A rated current
• Breaking capacity 80 kA up to 690 V ac
• Type A1 rated up to 550 V ac/ 250 V dc
• Type A2 rated up to 660 V ac / 460 V dc
• General purpose (gG) and dual motor rated (gM) types
• Low power dissipation
• ASTA 20 certified

As the fuse allows for the starting surge of a motor its full load current must not exceed the lesser of the dual current rating. e.g. 20 M25 must not have a continuous load of greater than 20A.

Eaton British Standard Fuse, A1 Size, 2A - NIT2

Keep your circuits safe from damage and hazards with this British Standard fuse from Eaton. The fuse features metal slotted tags that extend off the ends of its body to connect it to a fuse holder. When too much electricity goes through, the metal strip inside it melts, breaking the circuit and ensuring safety. The device has HRC (high-rupture capacity) so the strip won’t melt away until the current overload reaches a sustained or dangerous level. You'll find this fuse used in general-purpose rating (gG) and dual-motor rating (gM) motor protection devices.

Features & Benefits

• Bolted metal tag design slots securely onto a fuse holder for fast, easy attachment to your circuit
• Sensitive 2A (amperes) current rating for use with low-powered circuits
• Low power dissipation prevents large amounts of circuit power loss as the current passes through the fuse

What's the breaking capacity of this British Standard fuse?

This British Standard fuse has a breaking capacity of 80kA (kiloamperes), ensuring that the device can safely stop currents even if power from the circuit increases well above the fuse rating. This helps to prevent fires and electric shocks.
