Eaton Bussmann HRC Offset Tag Fuses - BS88 British Standard Fuses

Eaton Bussmann's offset tag fuses (or offset bolted tag fuses) are essentially a cylindrical fuse that is fitted with offset brackets, these brackets allow the fuse to be bolted onto a fuse holder. Predominantly, this type of fuse is used within installations as a "weak link". They are designed to break when a fault occurs, such as an overcurrent or short circuit - they are a safety and damage measure. Eaton Bussmann's fuses are commonly found within a multitude of industrial and switchgear applications, electrical equipment, wiring systems and circuit breakers. This fuse range is suitable for general purpose use.

Features & Benefits

• The low-temperature rise enables the fuse to be suitable for high-density mounting
• Fuse links, specifically designed for the protection of equipment
• Conforms to industry standards
• Low voltage fuse
• High rupture capacity (HRC)
• Suitable for three-phase applications
• Suitable for type 2 co-ordinated applications as defined in IEC 947-4
• Low power loss, typically 20% lower than the requirements of BS 88

Why use a slotted tag fuse?

A slotted tag fuse is distinguished by the metal slotted tags that extend off the ends of the fuse. This tag can either enable the fuse to have an offset tag or be centred to the fuse. Predominantly, this type of fuse is used within installations as a "weak link". They are designed to break when a fault occurs, such as an overcurrent or short circuit - they are a safety and damage protection measure within electrical circuits.

Eaton British Standard Fuse, 20A, 550V AC AAO20

This British Standard fuse from Eaton prevents short circuits and current overload from damaging electrical systems. It reduces the risk of harm to sensitive electronic components, reducing downtime and improving productivity. The fuse is suitable for low-voltage 3-phase electrical systems, like those found in industrial engineering and automotive manufacturing applications. It's a tagged unit that offers quick and uncomplicated assembly with mounting brackets on either end to easily secure it into place. For ease of use, it combines consistently reliable performance with almost no maintenance requirements. You can use this fuse in high-density electrical systems thanks to its low temperature rise, which means it doesn't become excessively hot when exposed to high currents.

• Low power loss for improved efficiency in an electrical system
• Air-tight so not adversely affected by external environmental conditions for improved reliability

How do I know if I've bought the right replacement fuse?

Eaton of fuses features a physical size or rejection feature that prevents you from replacing a fuse with one from another fuse class. This helps to ensure the correct replacement fuse is always installed and the voltage and interrupting ratings remain the same.
