Eaton Bussmann HRC Offset Tag Fuses - BS88 British Standard Fuses

Eaton Bussmann's offset tag fuses (or offset bolted tag fuses) are essentially a cylindrical fuse that is fitted with offset brackets, these brackets allow the fuse to be bolted onto a fuse holder. Predominantly, this type of fuse is used within installations as a "weak link". They are designed to break when a fault occurs, such as an overcurrent or short circuit - they are a safety and damage measure. Eaton Bussmann's fuses are commonly found within a multitude of industrial and switchgear applications, electrical equipment, wiring systems and circuit breakers. This fuse range is suitable for general purpose use.

Features & Benefits

• The low-temperature rise enables the fuse to be suitable for high-density mounting
• Fuse links, specifically designed for the protection of equipment
• Conforms to industry standards
• Low voltage fuse
• High rupture capacity (HRC)
• Suitable for three-phase applications
• Suitable for type 2 co-ordinated applications as defined in IEC 947-4
• Low power loss, typically 20% lower than the requirements of BS 88

Why use a slotted tag fuse?

A slotted tag fuse is distinguished by the metal slotted tags that extend off the ends of the fuse. This tag can either enable the fuse to have an offset tag or be centred to the fuse. Predominantly, this type of fuse is used within installations as a "weak link". They are designed to break when a fault occurs, such as an overcurrent or short circuit - they are a safety and damage protection measure within electrical circuits.

Eaton British Standard Fuse, 315A, 415V AC ED315

Need a replacement fuse for your electrical system? This British Standard fuse from Eaton is fast-acting and reliable. It instantly blows in the event of an overcurrent or a short circuit and provides consistent operation over its entire lifespan. A fuse like this one is compatible with low-voltage electrical systems, like those found in industrial switchgear applications. This robust unit is insensitive to the ageing effects of ultra-violet light and oxidation, so offers an extended service life. It's quick to bolt into place and features strong tag terminals that keep it firmly mounted in a carrier. A high-rapture capacity means this fuse is able to break excessively high overcurrent for improved electrical safety.

• Versatile and able to detect voltage dips as well as peaks
• Low power loss for improved workplace efficiency
• Air-tight fuse that's immune to external environmental factors for improved reliability
• Low temperature rise so suitable for high density mounting on tightly packed panels

Does this fuse need any maintenance?

No, this fuse from Eaton doesn't need any maintenance. You should, however, check its connections periodically and tighten its fixing bolts if needed.
