Protect electrical equipment from sudden voltage spikes with this surge protector from Phoenix Contact. Its suppressing properties stop equipment from being damaged by excessively high voltage peaks – such as those caused by switching operations or lightning strikes. The device is compatible with coaxial electrical cables used to transmit radio signals, frequently found on equipment such as satellite antennas.

A body constructed from nickel-plated brass makes the suppressor robust, while excellent protection against moisture and corrosion make for an extended working life. A fast response time of approximately 100ns means it reacts instantaneously to voltage spikes for high levels of electrical safety.

This component meets IEC 61 644-1 (International Electrotechnical Commission) specifications and is safe to use as a high-voltage fuse-link in motor circuit applications. It's compatible with a broad range of temperatures and has a maximum voltage rating of 280V DC, which makes it capable of handling most electrical surges.
