The bases' metal grounding foot on the PT 2x2 BE ensures a quick mount on the rail and, consequently, with the nearby ground potential.

Its compact design is only 17.5 mm wide, and it fits onto a symmetric rail.

Pluggable design allows communication to be immediately re-established after unplugging a device that has reached the end of its service life.
